Sakura Haruno (春野サクラ, Haruno Sakura) is a main character in the anime and manga series Naruto.
The name Haruno means "spring" and Sakura means "cherry blossom", which is cherished in Japan due to its beauty and almost tragically short life span (cherry blossoms have historically been associated with samurai).
